2019 Family Wellness Fun Fair

On October 19th, the Child Abuse Prevention Council hosted our 5th annual Family Wellness Fun Fair.

This was a fun, free and family event at the Boys & Girls Club with over 250 people attending. Local social service agencies hosted information booths and offered an interactive activity for children. Bob from At Your Request DJ Service kept the energy high and entertained the kids with his bubble machine. We welcomed a new Facility Dog – Yzer – who is now working for the Child Witness Project. Families enjoyed the face painting, Halloween costumes, photo booth, prizes, swag bags, as well as a delicious pizza lunch.

A big thank you to all the community organizations and volunteers that participated as well as donations of costumes, prizes and time. A special thank you to Value Village for their donation of Halloween costumes, as well as Children’s Aid Society, WAYS, Anova, Rotholme Family Shelter and Children’s Health Foundation for their generous contributions so that each child could go home with a prize. We also warmly thank Boys & Girls Club staff who went out of their way to help us set up and host the event. Finally, thanks to the children and families who attended who helped to make the 5th Family Wellness Fun Fair such a big success
